India Intimate Fashion Week – The Story So Far

Mind never stops thinking & that’s how it distracts you from your goal. If we are able to control&concentrate this unstoppable energy of mind on our primest goal, you’ll see the world turning conducive. Honest intentions & right utilization of the social circle ( PR ) are the key parameters that can fetch success in business, in today’s environment., says NirajJawanjal – Founder : India Intimate Fashion Week.

It took us more than 365 days to arrive at a decision that we should create or bring in the idea of Intimate Fashion Week in Indian market even if the taboo factor is strong here but simultaneously the incredible growth of e-commerce, especially Zivame, Pretty Secrets &Clovia added lot of strength to our efforts.

We have met more than 250 retail, e-commerce, and intimate wear professionals nation wide, over these days and tested this idea directly & indirectly with them.  Most of them appreciated it whole-heartedly. The idea of designing & executing an Intimate Fashion Week platform, which is truly for India & by India kept growing & shaping.

The Challenge was to “ How to present it ? ” . We had to maintain the thin line very gracefully &intellectually balance our equations so that we tap the right people through right message & with the strong message to eradicate the taboo about intimate wear & the related discussion & FAQs from the Indian mindset.  & Somehow we learnt that art of delivering the message right. So we took the educative way & created intellectual communications like “ did You know ?& Boot The Taboo ?”

Through IIFW’s innovative & intellectual platform, we are eyeing to motivate the new breed of designers to take up this sector by storm & create international standard products, which are designed  & made India but available across the world.  We also aim to create a dedicated product launch & business nourishment platform for brands & designers by involving top-notch minds from the industry. We also aim to act as a bridge between brands & designers from across the globe to initiate join ventures, supply chain tie-ups and  & talent exchange between the institutions too.

We have got fabulous response from the industry till now & we expect it to multiply in the coming seasons. The upcoming season – one of IIFW in Mumbai, planned during the early summers this year would open many doors for the team IIFW along with the participant brands & designers to reach their business goals & create a motivating environment for intimate wear business in India, shares Niraj, the Founder – India Intimate Fashion Week.
